Another wonky drawing, this time of an old radio.

A teaser, for the Doodh project. This [link] is the front, this [link] the back. And this, this is the inside bit.

Pen and watercolour on crappy notebook paper, 6.5"x7.5"

I could have sworn I commented on this before, I must have forgot but I certainly didin't forget this piece. You know this would be a brilliant way of making you're own greeting cards or something to that effect.

i like your use of the organic watercolour with your more technical drawing of the radio you have blended them really well.

And the water colour space. Jeez where do you come up with all this wonderful stuff!

Thank you! The poplikola series was simply inspired by my boyfriend and all the junk lying around his room. :)

I love the background splatter

It's funny that you're from Melbourne and happened to comment on this piece. It's artwork for a musician/producer who just attended the red bull music academy in Melba and had a gig at HonkyTonks!

I really like this one.. I don't know what you thought as you drew this but I like the conversation bubble. :) It creates a space so it doens't suffocate you with unnecessary details..

Again, cool depiction of a radio. You portray equipment very well. Not much to say about this one. I like the way the paint splatters beneath it. Anthing supposed to go into the word bubble?

this would make an awesome template for notebookpaper or something, just thought i'd add that.

your style with watercolour is really refreshing, i'm leaning towards putting you on my watchlist.....

I simply love the colour scheme on it. And those brush srokes that you do for the radio's shadow are just brilliant! I love it also because you actually choose to did the shadow in a very different way. Very clever! This is my favourite images from the series. I can see that the text box are wonky but it's not really a big of deal here. The great color, those lovely splats just so compensate that minor flaw. Another thing though, It seems that you forgot to shadow the right part of the speech buble or is that intentional. Still it doesn't feel right.

The radio looks so vintage and really well-rendered. Again you show a great skill in handling your medium! Good job! =D

Oh wow I really, really like this. the colours you worked with are so yummie, the splashed are wonderful like noise "splashing" out. Antd the word "bubble " makes me wonder what tune is playing or if the radio can talk. The potential is so great in this picture:) No I must see more of your art.

these are all so awesome
i think i'm going to have quite a few
favorites from it all. how can i get
ahold of whatever you two are
releasing (and what is it?) ??
seriouslytwisted Featured By Owner Sep 5, 2005
Well, we're hoping to get Baked Goods [link] to handle distribution for releases through our label, in which case I'm pretty sure they'll be distributing in the US. We might release a promo (which will have this artwork), but what we're actually hoping to put out is a limited edition art book along with the album.

This is all just cover art at the moment, the art book itself is going to be slightly more concept oriented. We'll be handling all the printing and packaging on our own, so provided everything goes smoothly (which it won't) we should have this out by Christmas.

Obviously, I'll be whoring this project a lot here so you'll get to hear of it's progress but I shall let you know how to get a hold of it once it's out.

Thanks for thinking it's awesome, I have my doubts.

And congratulations, I just read that you got married.
