The coloured dots are a perfect and fun background for this. :D The contours of the hands are very nice. so unique and different. :D

This is really cool! I like all the coloured dots, and how some of them aren't just a solid colour. I don't think that one hand being sandpapered really takes anything away from the peice, but rather lends to the feel of it. The only thing is, when you look at the hands too long the fingers look rather odd, maybe like they're too long. That could be just be me.

Could be - I was working from a teensy tiny picture and having trouble working out the measurements and details, I think the problem with the messed up hand it that the fingers aren't bent inwards like the other hand, so getting the shading right to suggest that was difficult because the lighting didnt leave much shadows. The fingers look kind of long because in that clenched position the knuckles protude a lot more (blending in with the fingers) while the fist is completely obscured so you can't measure up the fingers relative to the fist.

first of all, i love pokie dots. but aside from that, the colors are beautiful and sober; they remind me of sixties hippie home decor with door beads (though i doubt the hippies were at all sober) - kinda a psychodelic earthy bohemian look. the hands are convincingly realistic and the idea of grasping something intangible, like a drip, is interesting.

also, the left-hand mess-ups, though noticible, are not entirely distracting.
