About a month ago, just as I'd come to terms with the fact that I'd probably be leaving Pakistan soon, I was nagged by the abandoned dream of "someday" exhibiting here in Karachi. I knew it was madness - I had neither the time nor the amount of work to pull it off, I was fast on my way to approaching the Kingdom of Brokedom, and galleries are usually booked months in advance. Regardless, in one impulsive moment I decided to put out a few feelers and a couple of phone calls later, the wonderful people at The Second Floor reorganized their schedule and gave me a solo exhibition slot at Faraar (meaning "escape"), their new gallery space.
